2026

I do not claim ownership of any of the following music/videos in any way whatsoever, and as such they are in no way my personal property whatsoever - i have simply chosen, of my own free-will, to showcase them here in order to provide some education/entertainment/relaxation/upliftment to both myself and all others who may like to watch/listen to their contents - if you find that you have enjoyed listening to them, then please consider purchasing them for yourself, in order to help the artist(s)/individual(s) or their remaining family members further along their chosen journey through life...

On both Friday and Saturday/yesterday I watched a number of the Silicon Valley Open 2026 squash highlights via YouTube...

I found myself to be Inspirationally including / alluding to a number of songs within the comments I made...

Anyway, seeing as today is both the ladies and men's final of such an/a event/tournament, I thought I would have a sort of 'Super Sunday', if you will, by selecting six (rather than 3) of such songs - two from within Friday's quarter final comments - and four from within Saturday's semi final comments...

A) Friday's Quarter Finals...

Ride My See Saw ~ The Moody Blues...

This one relates to the Salma Hany v Anahat Singh match, as it was somewhat of a see-sawing match that Anahat Singh eventually won...

Smooth Operator ~ Sade...

This one relates to the Yahya Elnawasany versus Diego Elias match, as Diego's playing style is generally smooth, unhurried, and seemingly always in control (on this occasion at least lolz) ...

B) Saturday's Semi Finals...

A Hard Day's Night ~ The Beatles...

This one relates to the Victor Crouin versus Diego Elias match, as, although Diego rather surprisingly ended up losing, he had the very determined and seemingly energy-sapping-resilient Victor 'working like a dog' (go fetch/chase this, go fetch/chase that lolz) all around the squash court, for quite a period of time, and upon repeated occasions, actually...

Band Of Gold ~ Freda Payne...

This one relates to the Farida Mohamed versus Marina Stefanoni match, as Farida hit a number of fairly successive 'bands of gold'(and thereby causing much presumed pain to her opponent) during such a match, resulting in her being victorious...

Moves Like Jagger ~ Maroon 5 (featuring Christina Aguilera) ...

This one relates to the Mohamed Zakaria versus Mohamed ElShorbagy match, whereby the victor, Mohamed Zakaria, moved somewhat Mick Jagger-like, within his determination to get/reach the ball, during one front-right-wall-occasion, in particular lolz...

The Girl That Sang The Blues ~ The Everly Brothers...

This one relates to the Anahat Singh versus Siva Subramaniam match - interestingly, i had a Neil Diamond one (Song Sung Blue) included / alluded to in my first attempted comment - however, this one was removed, resulting in me looking for what i decided would be this somewhat better alternative one, for the match loser, Anahat Singh...
